Our cleaners are usually longer than 2 years durable.
- Store closed in original container and lid
- Store away from direct sunlight/UV radiation
- Store at temperatures between 5 °C and 25 °C
- Prevent cross-contamination (tap water, etc.) after opening the original containers
What is the shelf life of ready-to-use mixtures?
After the FMO cleaning concentrates have been mixed with water (tap water), the shelf life generally drops to approx. 2-3 weeks. The nutrients contained in tap water cause microorganisms to multiply by leaps and bounds.

How can I tell if the cleaner is still working?
- Has the odour changed or does the cleaner smell unpleasant?
- Has the colour changed or has the cleaner become milky?
- Has the consistency of the cleaner changed, e.g. has it become thicker?
As a rule, changes in these properties are an indication that the cleaner will no longer have the original effect. In this case, you should either test the cleaner carefully or have the shelf life assessed individually.
The cleaner looks strange. What can I do?
In this case, it is not necessarily to be assumed that the cleaner is no longer effective. Cleaners labelled „Shake before use“ tend to form layers in their original state and must be shaken before use to obtain a uniform liquid. However, if layers or deposits have formed on a cleaner without this label, this may be a further indication of a change in shelf life.
